Privacy notice
Nesthood is a collection of community directories. Anyone with a directory link can browse published listings. Admins review suggestions and reports before changing a directory.
Who is responsible
Nesthood operates the directory platform. Community admins review suggestions, reports and listings for their own communities.
Information collected
- Google sign-in identity and email for community admins.
- Recommendation names, categories, locations or service areas, contact links, recommendation notes and confirmation dates.
- Admin review and publication dates. Any source or provider agreement records previously collected are retained with the listing history.
- Suggestions, reports, recommendation requests, directory answers and experiences, including optional names or email addresses supplied by visitors.
- A hash derived from the visitor's IP address when they submit a suggestion, report, request or experience, to limit repeated submissions.
How the information is used
Admin identity is used to control access to community workspaces. Provider details and recommendation notes are used to display approved listings. Suggestions and reports are sent to community admins for review. Submission hashes are used to reduce abuse.
Who can see it
Published listings, requests, directory answers and experiences are visible to anyone with the directory link. Optional author names on requests and experiences are also public after approval. Pending requests and experiences are only available to authorised admins and service operators. Unpublished suggestions, reports and contact confirmation records are available to authorised admins and the service operators. Supabase stores the application data and handles admin sign-in.
Cookies and storage
Nesthood uses essential cookies for admin sign-in and to carry an admin invite through Google sign-in. The app does not currently add an analytics or advertising cookie. Hosting and authentication services may process technical request data.
Website analytics
Nesthood uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits and traffic sources, including approximate location, browser and device information. Web Analytics does not use tracking cookies. We remove query strings and URL fragments before sending page URLs to analytics, including invitation and sign-in parameters. We do not send form contents or recommendation contact details as custom analytics events. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information.
Retention and your choices
Providers can ask the relevant community admin to hide or correct a listing. Requests about other personal information, including access, correction or deletion, will be handled by the platform operator.
